Well, for some reason I haven't been able to sign on to the website for a while. I'm not sure why, but I guess
the problem's in my desktop, since I'm on the laptop right now and it's not fighting with me at all. I'd have saved
myself some stress if I had tried this a couple of weeks ago.
But, on to more important things. Sam is doing great. He is still cutting teeth, but they're staying put
now. He's cut about 8 or 10, and still has about 6 more coming in. He's taking some supplements now to help his
brain process the calcium properly, and the teeth are doing what they ought to. Amazing. Dr Towle figured it out.
It's astonishing to me what a difference he's made for Sam. And therefore me, too. I just don't even know what
to say about that.
So I'll tell a funny story. A couple of weeks ago we took the boys to see KC & the Sunshine Band at Busch Gardens.
If you're old like me you remember rollerskating to them in the 70's. For some reason, Ben s a disco fiend - but it's
really not our fault! But when your 6 year old knows all the words to "Boogie Shoes", you really can't fight it.
Anyway, it was hot, the sun wouldn't set, the wind wouldn't blow, and Sam was miserable. As soon as KC started singing,
both boys were happy. Ben's mouth fell open and he was agog for 45 minutes - too stunned even to dance (and if you know
Ben, you know that's stunned). Sam was fine, as long as KC only sang his own songs !!! Crazy stuff. go figure.
Sam will be three at the end of the month - July 29. It's a Sunday this year, so we decided it's time to have a
reaffirmation of his baptism at church to celebrate. The first time was at the hospital, and I wasn't awake so I missed
it. Lazy mommy. Then we're going to have a party afterward, and we'll probably have quite a crowd. He is quite
a loved little guy. If you can make it, we'd love to have you.
