Little slices of life as we know it...........

Sam's 4th Birthday Party
Sam had quite a crowd - about 20 kids
all together. He had a space man theme, and really enjoyed MOST of the night. He didn't like the parachute - he
screamed and screamed. We had moon rocks, decorated cookies, and ate moon pies. And we all survived.

Christmas Pageant, '07

At the Christmas pageant, there was not a dry eye in the place. Ben
chose to be an angel (the "little kids' role") instead of being with his friends - so he could be with Sam. He was so
proud to take Sam up by himself, and he had missed rehearsal so he didn't know what to do. So Ben ended up pushing Sam
in his stroller back and forth across the altar - it was like he was displaying him.

| Ben is so proud to take Sam up for the children's sermon |

In April, we went on a retreat with our church. It was a great weekend,
and good to be away with the family.
Look closer at the group picture. There's an arrow pointing straight at Sam. It's
obviously the sun coming through the trees, but it it such a distinctive arrow it almost doesn't look real. The picture
taken immediately before it doesn't have the arrow in it.
Hmmmmmmmm.

Ben's 7th Birthday Party
Ben's birthday party at a minor league ball game. It was
last minute, but a lot of fun. He got to yell "Play Ball!"
ABR Satellites, February and May

ABR therapy, at the satellite in Hollywood. Aside from learning
what to do for Sam, it's invaluable to hang out with other families who are like us. We revel in each other's accomplishments
and feel each other's heartbreak in ways no one else can.
And we're allowed to joke about things that would get anyone else
smacked.
